Description
Plain Paper Fax/Copier features a digital answering system that answers calls, records messages and receives faxes. Digital compression technology helps reduce annoying echo, drop-out or clipping. Store up to 25 pages in its built-in memory for transmission and 28 pages in the reception memory. Enhanced copier functions include enlargement (150/200 percent), reduction (92/86/72 percent), collate and multicopying up to 20. The 2 line x 16 character LCD is Caller ID compatible and indicates operating modes, memory contents, date/time and number dialed. Fax/copier also offers thermal transfer printing, 18 greetings on the answering machine, 20-sheet input capacity, 10-sheet auto document feeder, 14.4Kbps modem speed, transmission speed of 8 seconds per page, navigator key, quick scan, 50-number telephone direction, 64-level half-tone resolution, and 20 broadcast locations.

Fax film regularly pulls up through where the paper feeds through. Expensive to run also. I am getting rid of mine which is only 2 years old. My last thermal fax lasted 20 years.

This product is a FILM copier, which is ok if you do not need many copies.
It is not guaranteed.

The product is great and replaces my previous Panasonic fax/answering machine which I used for over 20 years. I want the KX-FP215 mainly for an answering machine and for occassional use to send and receive faxes, say 1 per week. Unfortunatley, the retailer must have given my number out to the whole world because I now receive numerous unsolicited faxes; 3 or 4 per day; which rarely happened on my previous machine, (same phone number). The frustration is - there is no way to turn off the fax machine function and leave the answering function up and running to receive phone voice messages. Its both or none!!

Perfect choice for me. I Want a built in answer machine in a compact
design for a small business that only does 3-5 faxes a week. Rolls are not cheep but are easy to install. Not many choices with all these features. Have had for over 4 yrs with no problems.
